Emergency Services 

We understand that emergencies happen, which is why we have an on-call veterinarian and technician. Recently, due to staffing shortages and an increase in patient caseload we are no longer able to accommodate emergencies between the hours of 9pm to 6am. We are also having to limit emergency care to those clients whose animals we have seen within the last 12 months. We want to ensure our doctors and technicians can care for your animals to the best of their ability, and they cannot do that when working both day and night repeatedly. We apologize for this inconvenience, and we will notify our clients of any further changes. 

If you believe your pet or livestock is having a medical or surgical emergency, you can reach our on-call veterinarian by calling (507) 665-2371 and following the prompts to route your call to the doctor. Depending on where the doctor is located that day, the appointment will be seen either in our Le Sueur location or our Arlington location.  If necessary for large animals, we can come to your farm.

While money is never on the forethought of our minds during an emergency, we want to be transparent and let our clients know we do have a higher fee structure on our after-hours emergencies.
