Your first visit with us with small animals:
When you walk into either of our clinics for your appointment, our friendly front staff will greet you and check you in. We will have you fill out a new client questionnaire to help us get to know you and your pet better (or you can print it out here and bring it with you!). If you have any records from your previous veterinarian, please bring them with so we can add them to our medical record and our doctors can review them.
One of our veterinary nurses will bring you into an exam room and ask you questions about your pet’s health pertinent to the reason of your visit. They will then go discuss with the doctor, and both will return to review the information gathered. Your pet will get a full physical exam from the veterinarian, and then both you and the veterinarian will discuss diagnostic and treatment plans that work best for you and your pet. If additional diagnostic tests are needed, most can be performed that day while you wait. You'll leave with a better understanding of your pet's health and a full record of their visit.
Your first visit with us with large animals:
When you pull into our driveway at our Le Sueur clinic, turn left to go towards the back of the building where there is a large gravel parking lot. You can park your trailer wherever is best for you, or back it up close to the larger garage door of the two (on the right). If you are coming to our Arlington location, we recommend pulling up along West Alden and Fourth Ave NW. It is easiest to leave your animal in the trailer and call us to let us know you are there, or walk to the front of the building to check in with our reception staff. They will have you fill out a new client questionnaire and let the veterinary nurse know that you are here. If you have any previous records or history of your animal(s), please bring it with so we can add it to our medical record. Our nurses will review any records then discuss pertinent history of your animal(s) with you. They will also instruct you where to bring your animal(s); either one of the stalls within the clinic, our stocks or chute, or to remain in your trailer. At that time the doctor will join you and perform a full physical exam, then discuss any diagnostics or treatments needed.
